When to visit Mexico?
Climate considerations vary depending on which regions you're visiting. From November to April, the dry season offers the most comfortable conditions for a trip through Mexico: clear skies over the Yucatán Peninsula, mild temperatures on the highlands of Mexico City or Oaxaca, and warm waters on the Caribbean coast. May to October brings tropical rainfall, often in late afternoon, but the vegetation is lush and archaeological sites are far less crowded. If you dream of watching whales in Baja California, aim for February-March; for sea turtles on the Pacific coast, summer is ideal. Día de los Muertos in late October remains an exceptional time to visit Mexico.
